OVC Web

The purposes of this web site are to provide a central public clearinghouse on all water and land management activities in the Owens Valley, to provide timely and accurate news and event announcements, and to promote citizen involvement.

The "News" and "Events" sections provide timely information on all water and land management activities in the Owens Valley.  News and event items concerning government, local agencies, environmental and other citizen action groups are all included.  We have recruited a number of individuals to monitor various groups and post items on a regular basis.  However, we are actively recruiting more regular contributors to ensure that this section of the OVCweb is a truly valuable resource for Owens Valley citizens.

Posting news and event items is as simple as logging onto OVCweb from any browser and typing or copying and pasting in the relevant information for a new item.  This may be done from any computer connected to the web (e.g. the public library, Kava coffee house, home).  Items which a contributor posts appear immediately on the web and may be edited/revised/deleted by the person submitting the item or the OVC webmaster at any time.

To become an OVCweb contributor requires that you attend a at least one OVC meeting and obtain logon and password information.  For more information please contact the OVC webmaster.
